Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) is looking for an
Executive, Academic Administration to support the Academic department with their daily operational activities.

This position will be based at our main campus at Brickfields, Kuala Lumpur.

What will you be doing:

Responsibilities:

1. Efficient and Effective Operational Management

  • Contribute significantly to ensure the External Programmes are managed in an efficient manner.
  • Coordinate examination processes with Examination Department and external examination bodies when required.
  • Deliver excellent oral and written customer service to stakeholders (parents and students) in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments, trends and issues related to academic administration from the related external and professional programmes.
  • Liaise effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and review of the business processes relating to the administration and operations of the related external and professional programmes.
  • Respond to or escalate, as appropriate, requests and emerging issues in a timely and constructive manner.

2. Record and Database Management

  • Maintain accurate and uptodate students and other relevant data in the College database(s) and others as required.
  • Maintain an effective filing and record management system for the hardcopy and softcopy records.
  • Generate / compile accurate, complete and uptodate lists of student attendances for each semester and at other points throughout the year, as needed.
  • Coordinate the accurate and timely tracking of student enrolments, withdrawals, exemptions, attendance and sessional and/or casual staff working hours, ensure that students and/or staff submit the required documents in a timely manner.
  • Generate accurate and timely reports and analyses on data/information relevant as needed.
  • Assist in the periodic data integrity audits, as required, to ensure data in the database/s is accurate and up to date.

Who are we looking for?

Job Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant experience in a similar capacity in a tertiary education setting.
  • Good knowledge of government requirements, regulations, policies and guidelines related to MOHE, MQA etc.
  • Proficient computer literacy and strong ability in using databases, portals and IT technologies in supporting business operations.
  • Good working knowledge of learning management systems and academic administration databases would be an added advantage.
  • Fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (verbal and written).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to plan, to make decisions, to schedule work effectively, to work independently, to adhere to tight timelines and to work under pressure.
  • Operate in a methodical manner, with a proactive work style, paying attention to details and with a high level of integrity.
  • Competent analytical and problemsolving skills.
