Job DescriptionJob Summary:
The Channel Sales Manager plays a dual role in managing and growing channel partnerships while also engaging directly with clients. This role is instrumental in driving revenue growth, enabling channel partner success, and ensuring direct client engagement by preparing proposals and closing deals. Experience with ERP solutions and managing ERP channel partners is highly advantageous.
Partner Development & Management:
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new channel partners to expand the partner network.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with channel partners.
- Conduct regular business reviews with partners to track performance and align on goals.
- Train and equip channel partners with the knowledge and tools to effectively sell the company's software.
- Develop and execute joint business plans and sales strategies with channel partners.
Performance Management:
- Set and monitor sales targets for channel partners and provide ongoing support to meet these targets.
- Analyze sales data and generate reports to measure partner performance and overall channel success.
Prospect Screening:
- Collaborate with marketing to nurture leads for both direct engagement and channel partners.
Product Demonstrations:
- Conduct compelling and tailored product demonstrations for prospects, showcasing the value and functionality of the software solutions.
Proposal Development:
- Develop and present customized proposals to prospects, addressing their specific business needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in channel sales, partner management, or business development in the software industry, with pre-sales or direct sales experience being an added advantage.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets through channel partners and direct engagement.
- Experience managing ERP partners or working within the ERP ecosystem is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of the software sales cycle, ERP solutions, pre-sales processes, and go-to-market strategies.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with both partners and end customers.
- Technical aptitude to understand and demonstrate software products.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term partner strategies.
- Strong pre-sales skills, including needs analysis and problem-solving.
- Results-driven with a focus on closing deals and achieving measurable outcomes.
