Are you a results-driven Key Account professional with a passion for modern trade? We are looking for a dynamic Key Account Manager to lead our Modern Trade channel, covering both Yee Lee's house brands and agency business. This role offers high growth potential, with the opportunity to be groomed into a leadership position heading Modern Trade in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Key Account Management & Business Growth
  2. Lead and manage key modern trade accounts, including hypermarkets, supermarkets, and chain retailers.
  3. Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue, market share, and brand growth across Yee Lee's house brands (cooking oil, mineral water, detergent, and more) and agency brands.
  4. Strengthen partnerships with key retailers by negotiating annual business plans, trading terms, and promotional strategies to maximize sales potential.
  5. Expand business with new agency brands and secure additional retail partnerships to grow the Modern Trade channel.

Financial & Trade Spend Management :

  1. Develop and execute trade spend strategies to optimize investment and maximize ROI.
  2. Negotiate pricing, trading terms, discounts, and promotions to ensure profitability and category leadership.
  3. Monitor and analyze sales data, revenue performance, and account profitability.
  4. Develop a structured, professional Modern Trade strategy to drive operational efficiency and commercial effectiveness.
  5. Implement best-in-class Modern Trade practices, including assortment planning, shelving execution, and promotional planning.
  6. Work closely with internal merchandising, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution and stock availability.
  7. Groom, train, and develop the Modern Trade team into a high-performing unit, capable of delivering excellence across all retailers and agency partnerships.
  8. Build a culture of entrepreneurial thinking, executional discipline, and high-performance accountability.

Key Requirements:

  1. Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of key account management experience in FMCG (Modern Trade channel).
  2. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of modern trade operations, category management, promotions, and trade marketing.
  3. Strategic & Analytical Thinking: Strong business acumen, ability to develop growth strategies, analyze P&L, and optimize commercial terms.
  4. Strong Relationship Management & Negotiation Skills: Experienced in trading terms negotiation, trade spend allocation, and business development with major retailers.
  5. Leadership & Team Development: Ability to develop and lead a high-performing Modern Trade team, fostering a professional and efficient sales culture.
  6. Entrepreneurial Mindset: A passion for growing FMCG brands and driving new retailer and agency partnerships to expand the business.
