**About the role**
This role acts as a consultant and coach, supporting people leaders to manage team and individual performance and development, while also leading/supporting key people-related projects and working with individuals and teams globally to build capability and engagement.
**Responsibilities**
- Consult and advise business leaders in relation to people practices and policies including team and role design, managing performance, employment terms, restructures, employee engagement and organizational design.
- Enhance employee experience by delivering initiatives like onboarding, career development programs, learning workshops.
- Provide advice relating to employment laws, agreements, policies and awards.
- Investigate grievances and complaints and recommend appropriate actions and solutions.
- Lead and support on annual HR initiatives like salary benchmarking and review, talent review, succession planning, performance reviews, engagement surveys
- Design and deliver internal policies, internal communications and training to ensure user adoption.
- Support and provide reports for internal board reporting and external audit requirements.
**Experience required**
- 7-10 years' experience working in a full function HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role ideally in a large format global and fast-paced organisation
- Relevant qualification in Human Resources or other general business qualification
- Strong knowledge of the workplace relations across APAC region along with exposure to international labour relations, employment laws and cultures in different jurisdictions.
- Ability to independently advise across a range of HR issues including performance management, remuneration and benefits, talent development, HR policies, Employee relations, Leadership development and management support.
- Work with business and people leaders to make a measurable impact in the people function and make Soprano a great place to work.
- Great stakeholder management skills, change management skills and ability to be a trusted business partner in an advisory role to consult on complex HR issues.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with an ability to establish trust with different teams and people leaders.
- Strong analytical skills with a passion for metrics and data analysis to provide HR insights to the business.
- Advanced Excel skills would be highly desirable.
