We are looking to hire a HR Generalist to be based in** Malaysia or Singapore **to join our team of experts in a dynamic and growing company that is driving the energy transition.
The HR Generalist - APAC is responsible for running the day-to-day HR activities and overseeing all HR related administrative duties of the ABL Group of Companies in the APAC Region. They will be working with employees and managers from all organizational levels and interacting with all company’s functions in order to provide excellent customer service to all colleagues and to support Company’s business leaders, directors and line managers, in nurturing a high-performance and positive work culture.
**What you will be doing.**:
The HR Generalist - APAC will be required to support the Regional HR Manager to ensure employees’ data are accurately and timely updated in the Human Resource Information System, APAC countries employment contracts and practices/policies are in compliance with local labour laws and regulations as well as to enhance employee’s experience to focus on using best business practice to improve efficiency and increase productivity.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day HR & office administration operations to provide effective and efficient delivery of services to support the organization, aligned to ABL policies
- Provide advice and support to business leaders, directors and employees on HR related queries (benefits, policies and procedures, disciplinary/grievances, misconduct, absences etc. etc.)
- Support all HR related employee-relations matters including staff welfare support, managing all employee-relations issues answering queries related to HR administered policies
- Maintain HR data in the Human Resource Information System - ensuring headcount & all other personnel information is up to date in a timely and accurate manner, including maintaining personnel files and complying with statutory reporting and filing requirements.
- Oversee the upkeep of Organograms, Skills Matrix, Job Descriptions and changes to employment terms e.g. salaries, job title, job descriptions etc. and ensure updated letters/communications/documentations are provided accordingly in file and communicated to affected employees
- Conduct appropriate audits to ensure HR data integrity across the region
- Provide HR audit support on documentations required for internal and external audits
- Engage in the full spectrum of HR activities including but not limited to recruitment, onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfer, promotion, staff performance appraisals, off-boarding etc.
- Maintain Staff Handbooks, HR policies and required staff’s documentations for region - ensuring implementation and adherence to local laws and regulations/ ABL Company policies
- Management of Payroll related matters and benefits schemes across APAC, ensuring compliance with local regulations
- Liaise with Lawyers, advisors, consultants, accounting firms, tax and visa agents, and in-country admin/HR staff taking care of HR related matters in each APAC country where required
- Participate in the implementation of specific HR related projects, procedures and guidelines, across groups and departments across the globe where required and ensure duties and responsibilities are carried out
- Oversee the administration of office, group hospital and surgical and WICA insurance policies including enrolment of staff into group and local insurances and claim processes.
- Any other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.
- Flexibility to working hours, willingness to travel and work within a variety of time zones, matching stakeholders' locations across APAC and globally where required.
**What we are looking for.**:
- At least 5 year’s relevant and acceptable work experience in HR
- General good level of education
- Experienced in local employment legislation and regulations
- HR Qualification/CIPD accreditation
- Knowledge of local/APAC employment law and regulations, good HR practices and policies
- Problem-solving and decision making skills
- High level of professionalism, self-motivation and organisation - with attention to details
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise work and deliver a high standard to tight deadlines
- Evidence of tact and discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organisation both autonomously as well as part of a team
