**Job Role and Summary**
Procurement Executives are individuals responsible for evaluating suppliers/partners, services provided, consolidating costs, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved procurements are cost-efficient and of high quality. They are accountable to the Business Development Director.
**A. Duties and Responsibilities**
Maintain and build strong and close relationships with logistics partners.
- Discover profitable logistics suppliers/partner and initiate business and organization partnerships.
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of NSG.
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers/partners and clients.
- Build long-term working relationships with key persons through managing their expectations and matching their requirements with NSG’s.
Ensure enquiries submitted are well attended to.
- Ensure that all enquiries submitted to procurement team via relevant communication platforms are all attended to.
- Monitor and manage the relevant tracking platforms and ensure data is updated regularly and accurately.
- Contextualise each enquiry to each supplier/partner when requesting for cost through understanding what clients require and what suppliers/partners can provide.
- Calculate, summarise and consolidate costings received from various suppliers/partners for Relationship Executives promptly.
Manage service quality and costings from logistics partners.
- Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies to ensure costs received are prudent and provide multiple options to Relationship Executives.
- Negotiate with logistics suppliers/partners to secure advantageous terms. Examine and test new and existing contracts to ensure standards of service meet the requirements.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness of services.
- Expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
- Perform risk management for supply/partnership contracts and agreements.
- Build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
Ensure all necessary tasks given by superiors are attended to.
**B. Skills**
- Must be an excellent communicator in both written and verbal disciplines, excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Have strong negotiating and networking skills to create win-win situations between company and suppliers/partners and make business relationships mutually beneficial.
- Leadership skills to pitch and implement ideas successfully to suppliers/partners and management.
- Must be proficient in English, bilingual is preferred.
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market.
- Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
**C. Qualifications**
- Should have at least a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree (BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration).
- Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager, Procurement Officer.
- Speed and accuracy in typing and calculating.
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
