**Purpose of the Role**
You will be a key member of the NT Group Engineering team reporting directly to the Engineering Director. You will be responsible for all project procurement activities for the Engineering Department, primarily on medium-sized and large CAPEX projects (500k to 500M project value).

**Key Accountabilities**
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans for **CAPEX projects**, including creating tender documents and managing the tender process.
- Ensure rigorous contract administration, including awarding contracts and monitoring performance bonds and insurance.
- Review and calculate costs related to project variations, generate financial reports, and process payments.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditure, maintaining cost reports for effective cost control.
- Provide comprehensive project oversight, collaborating with the Project Team from project inception to successful completion.

**Responsibilities**
**Procurement Planning (Capex Project)**:

- Develop strategic procurement plans tailored to CAPEX projects, aligning them with project objectives and budgetary constraints.
- Create (or contribute to the creation of) comprehensive bills of quantities (BOQ) and meticulously prepare tender documents, ensuring they reflect project requirements and specifications accurately.
- Efficiently manage the entire tender process, from soliciting bids to evaluating tender submissions, making recommendations for selection based on defined criteria.

**Contract Administration**:

- Ensure contract administration in accordance with the contract terms and conditions.
- Prepare official letters of award for successful bidders, clearly communicating their selection.
- Procure and actively monitor Performance Bonds, Bankers Guarantees, and insurance policies to safeguard project interests and mitigate risks.

**Quantity Surveying**:

- Thoroughly review and assess variation request orders, ensuring alignment with project requirements and budgets.
- Accurately calculate the costs associated with variations to project scope or specifications.
- Regularly compile and generate detailed monthly financial reports, providing insights into project financial performance.
- Efficiently process progress payments and prepare comprehensive final accounts, documenting all financial transactions and project expenditures.

**Budget Monitoring**:

- Continuously oversee the project budget and track project expenditure
- Develop and maintain cost reports and cost plans, providing valuable insights into project cost control and management.

**Project Management**:

- Provide comprehensive oversight of projects, managing them from their initial stages through to successful completion
- Collaborate closely with the Project Team, actively participating and contributing during pre-construction, construction, and post-construction stages to facilitate seamless project execution and success.

**General Duties**:
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management, whether within or outside the current scope of employment.

**Requirements & Person Specifications**
- Having minimum 3 years experience in **project procurement, **principles and practices.
- Knowledge in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Problem investigation & problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong planning, organizational and supervision skills.
- Strong reporting capabilities.

**Reporting Lines & Supervision**
- You will be receive your assignment and be reporting directly to the Engineering Director
- You will also be in close contact with the company’s procurement department

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: RM5,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
