As an HR intern responsible for payroll processing, your job scope may involve various tasks related to managing employee compensation and ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages. Here are some common responsibilities:

- Data Entry: You will be responsible for accurately entering employee information into the payroll system, including personal details, salary rates, tax withholding information, and any other relevant data.
- Time and Attendance Management: You may need to collect and review employee time sheets or attendance records to ensure accurate calculation of hours worked, overtime, leave balances, and other related data.
- Payroll Calculations: Using the provided data, you will calculate employee wages, deductions, and taxes, taking into account factors like overtime, bonuses, commissions, and any other variables that affect an employee's pay.
- Payroll Processing: Once all the necessary calculations are done, you will process the payroll, generating paychecks or initiating direct deposits for employees. This involves ensuring that all payments are accurately calculated and disbursed on time.
- Benefit Administration: You may assist in managing employee benefits, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions or contributions. This includes updating employee records, coordinating with benefit providers, and answering employee inquiries regarding their benefits.

Compliance and Reporting: As part of payroll processing, you may need to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and tax regulations. This may involve preparing payroll reports, filing tax forms, and staying updated on any changes in payroll-related legislation.

Recordkeeping: Maintaining accurate and organized payroll records is essential. You will be responsible for maintaining employee payroll files, including pay stubs, tax forms, and other relevant documentation.

Employee Support: You may assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, such as explaining pay stub details, resolving payment discrepancies, addressing tax-related questions, or providing general support regarding their compensation.

Collaborating with HR and Finance: Payroll processing often requires coordination with other departments, such as HR and finance. You may need to work closely with these teams to ensure accurate data transfer, resolve discrepancies, and support overall payroll administration.

Continuous Improvement: As an intern, you may have the opportunity to contribute to process improvement initiatives. This can involve identifying areas for automation, streamlining payroll processes, or suggesting enhancements to improve accuracy and efficiency.

**Salary**: RM500.00 - RM600.00 per month
