Revenue Specialist

The Revenue Specialist is responsible for the administration of revenue transactions and the timely delivery of revenue reports. As part of the Global Revenue Team, this role will be key to ensuring that Veeam recognizes revenue in accordance with the most current applicable accounting standards and policies.
**Responsibilities**
- Work with the Global Revenue Director, Other Regional Finance Directors, Global Revenue Manager, other Revenue Specialists and team members from other functions such as Accounts Receivable, Order Processing, and Corporate Information Systems, to ensure accurate and timely revenue processing and reporting in accordance with Veeam’s revenue recognition policies;
- Participate in the review of non-standard sales contracts and its implications on revenue recognition;
- Prepare, review, analyze and interpret revenue reports from Salesforce CRM and NetSuite ERP;
- Review assignment of revenue recognition rules to product and service SKUs that impact on Revenue Arrangements and Revenue Recognition Plans;
- Assist with process development and performing periodic audits;
- Support associated revenue reconciliations;
- Month and quarter end closing activities in relation to revenue;
- Support year-end closing and external annual audit activities on revenue;
- Other ad-hoc activities, reporting and reconciliations as required.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A combination of education and experience will be considered;
- Specific knowledge of revenue recognition and ASC 606 is desirable;
- Knowledge of general accounting principles is required;
- Proficiency in Excel is required;
- NetSuite and Salesforce proficiency are a plus;
- Previous experience in revenue accounting/finance is an advantage, ideally in a software company;
- Audit experience is desirable;
- Superior attention to detail is required;
- Must be a quick learner with proven abilities to multitask, can work independently or collaboratively with others, think critically and problem solve.
