**Main purpose of the role**:
The main purpose of hiring is to streamline and optimize the logístical operations associated with the shipping of goods. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that products are efficiently transported from production facilities to distribution centers or directly to customers, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.Specific Role Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Manager of Shipping, you will be working Monday to Friday,

**Import Division**:

- Monitor the arrival of import containers on time to avoid production running out of stock.
- Coordinate on-time clearance at the port to avoid extra costs incurred such as demurrage, detention, storage, and removal.
- Coordinate with the warehouse to make sure the unloading process happens within the stipulated time to avoid the extra cost.
- Prepare an exemption list with custom authorities for all import items based on purchasing advice.
- Prepare an ATS list with the SST department to avoid paying SST (Form K1)
- Verify import bills to make payment to the clearing agent.
- Liaising with Purchasing to provide import documents on time to avoid or jeopardize the clearance process.

**Export Division**:

- Review and implement any shortfall in process between planning, warehouse, and CR so that deliveries of goods are as per schedule
- Based on Incoterms, negotiate the rates for shipment arrangement
- Assist the costing department in finding rates for various countries for their tender submission process.
- Booking of containers based on CR request - online booking using various systems based on liner.
- Make sure the container reaches the factory on time for loading to achieve daily and monthly targets.
- To be aware of the credit terms for customers and to ensure container release upon full payment.
- Zero discrepancy for LC document submission
- Provide all custom declaration forms, e.g. K1, K2, K9, K8 to finance and SST department.
- Update the ATS list in the Tax Access Payable system whenever a new purchase for spare parts.
- Verify bills for local agents to avoid disruption in releasing the container to customers.
- Closely monitor to avoid unnecessary costs such as SSR, rollover, empty reject and detention to incur.
- Zero rollover of containers due to custom issues except for production failure.

**Drop Shipment**
- Arrange shipment based on outsourcing head information, to negotiate rates, book vessels, and coordinate with the supplier on the shipment arrangement until payment is clear and release the goods to the customer.

Air Freight - Upon request only.
Audit - need to update procedure if any changes.
FMM renewal every year

**Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or similar preferred.
- More than five years' experience handling shipping department in Manufacturing.
- Proficiency in electronic shipping software, Customer portals etc
- In-depth knowledge of logistics and shipping documentation.
- Knowledge of shipping/port regulations.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be competent in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of the ERP, Microsoft Dynamic 365 and SAP system will be an added advantage

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
