Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Vice President, Health and Benefits to lead our team in Penang, Malaysia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing talent, and delivering exceptional client experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Renewal and Remarketing
    • Develop and execute renewal strategies to maintain and grow client relationships
    • Collaborate with clients to negotiate renewal terms and prepare renewal proposals
    • Meet with clients to discuss pre-renewal and renewal activities
    • Develop and implement service level agreements to ensure seamless client experiences
    • Present benefits programs to employees and stakeholders
  2. Day-to-Day Operations
    • Stay up-to-date on employee movements and client requirements
    • Follow up on underwriting requirements and client inquiries
    • Handle employee and HR inquiries in a timely and professional manner
    • Follow up with clients on outstanding invoices and ensure timely payments
    • Act as a escalation point for client queries and feedback
  3. People Management
    • Lead and manage a team of managers and executives
    • Supervise and mentor direct reports to ensure their success and growth
  4. Other Responsibilities
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and compliance guidelines

Requirements

Education and Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Business Administration
Experience in employee benefits industry consulting
People management experience is a plus

Skills and Knowledge:
Proficiency in computer skills, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop talent and lead by example
Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills
