Our Business

The Retail function at UOB focuses on delivering personalized financial solutions to Personal and Business Banking customers. We offer an array of products and services designed to help them manage their finances effectively and achieve their goals.

We cater to Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across the region, providing integrated solutions tailored to their unique needs. Our team works closely with clients to identify opportunities for growth and develop innovative products and services that meet their evolving requirements.

Job Responsibilities

Hiring Location: Multiple locations available.

For Account Manager

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with SME clients to ensure they utilize banking facilities optimally, adhering to bank standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness and establish/maintain account relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Achieve sales targets by promoting banking products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and contribute to branch profitability.

For Marketing Manager

  • Solicit loans, deposits, and Banca sales, ensuring end-to-end follow-through to convert efforts into production.
  • Achieve allocated sales targets for Loans, Deposits, Banca, and new customer acquisition.
  • Maintain good follow-through practices and execute tasks promptly.
  • Perform risk management activities, introducing customers and conducting joint visitations with Account Managers.
  • Ensure quality submissions, achieving high accuracy and correctness.
  • Communicate clear expectations regarding terms in the letter of offer and other documents.
  • Maintain Standard Filing Order for credit files before handing them over to the Account Management Team.
  • Foster good rapport with internal and external customers for business referrals.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and established processes.
Requirements

For Account Manager

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business-to-consumer sales with a proven track record.
  • Prior experience in Banking Retail Products, especially mortgage sales, is advantageous.
  • Credit marketing experience and knowledge are preferred and will be an added advantage.
  • A wide network of SME business contacts and good business acumen are required.
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills are essential.

For Marketing Manager

  • Strong business acumen, proactivity, and a self-motivated attitude.
  • Good sales and customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills in financial accounts and cash flow analysis expertise.
  • Prior experience in business-to-consumer sales with a proven track record, ideally 3-5 years.
  • Credit marketing experience is preferred and will be an added advantage.
