About the Team

The Operations team at Airwallex ensures the smooth functioning of our services and processes. We focus on optimizing workflows, improving operational efficiency, and delivering exceptional customer support. By streamlining operations and implementing best practices, we help drive the company's growth and maintain high service standards.

What You'll Do

This newly created role will own the Malaysia operations function to ensure current and future customers have a seamless experience with Airwallex. With our business continuing to expand globally and our South East Asia client base scaling rapidly, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a team in a way that is scalable and efficient.

You will identify and drive strategic projects to improve customer experience and operationalize internal Airwallex functions. You will take a data-driven approach to problem-solving and work across functions to ensure stakeholder alignment and deliver desired outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive strategic projects to improve customer experience and operationalize internal Airwallex functions.

  • Take a data-driven approach to problem-solving and work across functions to ensure stakeholder alignment and deliver desired outcomes.

  • Help build processes relating to customer support and manage daily operation and monitoring of AML/compliance programs.

  • Work with the Compliance Manager to operationalize emerging regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Monitor and improve the efficiency of key compliance operations functions, including transaction monitoring, KYC, and name screening.

  • Monitor payment and treasury-related operations for the regional business.

  • Help define key KPIs and build reports to improve customer experience while driving efficiency improvements.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

  • 7+ years relevant experience.

  • Experience working in a global environment is preferred.

  • Experience in FinTech or start-up or fast-growing tech company experience is preferred.

  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in Mandarin.
