Role & Responsibilities:
Strategic Sales Leadership
- Develop and execute national insurance sales strategies to meet and exceed annual targets.
- Drive lead generation through cross-selling, up-selling, and new client acquisition initiatives.
- Plan and implement effective sales campaigns, client talks, and networking events.
Team Management & Development
- Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing insurance sales team.
- Design a motivating compensation and incentive structure aligned with business goals.
- Foster a performance-driven and collaborative sales culture.
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Oversee timely and accurate reporting of sales performance, segmented by new vs. renewal business.
- Ensure smooth workflow by establishing product inventory systems and standardized operational processes.
- Monitor KPIs, provide sales forecasts, and report directly to senior leadership.
Client Portfolio & Market Expansion
- Leverage existing client data for targeted cross- and up-selling.
- Revisit and revive contactable leads while exploring untapped market segments.
- Expand the business through strategic partnerships and referral networks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field. MBA is a plus.
- Minimum
8–10 years of experience
in the insurance industry, with at least
5 years in a senior leadership role
. - Strong understanding of insurance products, sales strategies, and market trends in Malaysia.
- Proven track record in leading sales teams and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive performance improvements.
