Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Kota Kinabalu & Labuan for a General Manager. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, managing staff, ensuring the effectiveness of business strategies, and fostering strong client relationships. Duties also include financial planning, budget management, and performance monitoring to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost control to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Present performance insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.
  • Oversee execution of oil and gas projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality.
  • Ensure readiness and optimal utilization of equipment, fleet, and workforce.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement across all departments.
  • Manage procurement, inventory, and supply chain operations.
  • Resolve operational challenges to minimize downtime and maintain project continuity.
  • Ensure full compliance with local and international oil & gas regulations.
  • Promote a strong HSE culture and oversee safety performance.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure legal and environmental standards are met.
  • Attend tender briefings and lead bid preparation and submission

Qualifications

  • Management and Leadership skills
  • Financial Planning, Budget Management, and Performance Monitoring skills
  • Client Relationship Management and Business Development skills
  • Understanding of Oil & Gas services industry and its operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
