Our client is a leading Malaysian-owned corporate group with multiple subsidiaries across financial services, retail, and technology ventures. Following a successful fundraising round, the group is entering a new phase of accelerated growth and digital expansion — particularly within the FinTech ecosystem.

This appointment represents a rare opportunity to lead group-level HR strategy and organizational development for a company that is solidly established yet rapidly evolving. The position reports directly to the Group CEO and plays a pivotal role in shaping the people agenda across all subsidiaries.

The Role:

The Head of Group Human Resources & Organizational Development will drive end-to-end people strategy, talent design, and organizational development across the group. This role requires a visionary HR leader with the agility to align HR architecture, OD programs, and workforce strategies with a fast-growing business portfolio.

Key Responsibilities


• Strategic HR Leadership:

Develop and execute the Group's HR and OD strategy aligned with business objectives, advising the CEO and senior leadership on people and organizational priorities.


• Organizational Development (OD):

Design and implement OD frameworks, leadership pipelines, talent mapping, and succession planning across business units. Lead change-management and cultural integration initiatives.


• Compensation & Benefits (C&B):

Oversee group-wide remuneration strategy, salary benchmarking, and reward structures to attract and retain top talent while maintaining internal equity.


• Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:

Lead recruitment strategy and workforce scaling, especially for nationwide retail and sales teams, ensuring recruitment capability and efficiency.


• Payroll & HR Operations:

Provide governance and oversight for in-house payroll functions, HRIS systems, and policy standardization across subsidiaries.


• Culture, Engagement & Capability Building:

Champion culture transformation, engagement programs, and leadership development initiatives to build a high-performance organization.


• Governance & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to employment laws, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices across all group entities.

Qualifications & Requirements


• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).


• 12+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing multiple entities or a group structure.


• Proven background in Organizational Development, Compensation & Benefits, and strategic HR transformation.


• Experience within financial services, banking, fintech, or large Malaysian conglomerates preferred.


• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale recruitment and high-volume hiring.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence at executive level.


• Strong proficiency in English; Mandarin fluency is a distinct advantage for regional collaboration.


• High integrity, commercial acumen, and leadership presence.
