Our client Pen Express Freight Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Logistic Customer Service Executive to join their team

Are you passionate about customer service and logistics? Join our client's dynamic team as a Logistic Customer Service Executive in Bandar Botanic, Selangor. This role offers an exciting opportunity to liaise with customers, coordinate shipments, and contribute to the smooth operation of a thriving freight forwarding business.

What you'll be doing?
  • Customer liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact between document processing and customers, ensuring clear communication on all shipment details.
  • Sales support: Assist the sales team by providing rates, tariffs, and other relevant information for compiling quotes.
  • Freight negotiation: Source and negotiate competitive freight rates with carriers, agents, and co-loaders to optimize shipping costs.
  • Operational transition: Collaborate with Sales and Account Implementation teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to operations.
  • Customer care: Respond promptly to daily customer service requests, addressing inquiries and proactively communicating any shipping delays.
  • Stakeholder communication: Maintain regular contact with airlines, shipping lines, and trucking companies to keep shippers and consignees informed of any issues.
  • Financial tasks: Handle invoicing, collections follow-up, and maintain proper financial records and controls.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly shipment and sales status reports, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Document preparation: Create shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, and manage end-to-end arrangements for air and ocean freight shipments.
Who are they looking for?
  • Industry experience: At least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, with excellent knowledge of regulatory requirements in Air/Ocean Import or Export.
  • Language proficiency: Excellent command of English for effective communication with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is required to facilitate communication with overseas China-based agents.
  • Communication skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  • Problem-solving: Proactive approach to challenges with excellent problem-resolution capabilities.
  • Attention to detail: Sharp eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks and documentation.
  • Decision-making: Good judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to escalate issues when necessary.
  • Technical proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to manage daily tasks efficiently.
