Role Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Export & Business Development Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the export market, with the ability to maintain and grow existing accounts as well as identify and secure new business opportunities. This role will involve extensive travel to different countries to meet potential clients and expand our business reach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new leads and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our export market presence.
  • To maintain good rapport with existing customers by providing support, a high level of service, market and product information, regulatory guidance, and market trends.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer portfolio in the assigned country. (Distributors, B2B, Private Labels/OEM).
  • Responsible for customer inquiries about quotations, products, samples, registration, shipment, artwork, visits, and payment.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
  • Plan and participate in international trade shows as per company direction.
  • Travel to different countries to meet potential clients, present our products, and negotiate deals.
  • Conduct market research to identify new markets, customer needs, and competitive activities.
  • To perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior / management from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing or international trade
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in business development or sales, with a focus on the export market, preferably in the food industry and familiar with the B2B and private label sectors.
  • Good command of English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia, spoken and written, can communicate well.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade processes, and export documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and capitalise on new business opportunities
  • Proven track records in managing sales for international customers will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
