Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing human resources functions tailored to the specific needs and challenges of the manufacturing industry.

This role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, performance management, safety and compliance, training and development, and workforce planning to support the organization's operational efficiency and employee engagement goals.


Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract and retain skilled talent for various manufacturing roles.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, conduct job analyses, and create job descriptions.

Employee Relations and Engagement:

  • Foster a positive work environment and promote employee engagement initiatives to enhance morale and productivity.
  • Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner, ensuring fair treatment and resolution.
  • Conduct employee satisfaction surveys and analyze feedback to identify areas for improvement.

Performance Management:

  • Implement performance management systems tailored to the manufacturing environment, including setting performance goals and conducting regular evaluations.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management best practices and employee development.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee safety training programs and initiatives to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
  • Conduct investigations and follow up on safety incidents or violations, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Training and Development:

  • Identify training needs based on job requirements and performance gaps, and develop training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate technical and operational training sessions for manufacturing staff, including new hire orientation and jobspecific training.

Workforce Planning and Succession Management:

  • Collaborate with operations and production teams to forecast workforce needs and plan for staffing requirements based on production schedules and business demands.
  • Develop succession plans for key manufacturing roles to ensure continuity and talent pipeline development.

Labor Relations:

  • Oversee labor relations activities, including union negotiations, collective bargaining agreements, and contract administration (if applicable).
  • Maintain positive relationships with union representatives and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in human resources management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Indepth knowledge of labor laws, safety regulations, and industry standards applicable to manufacturing operations.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic manufacturing environment.

Pay:
Up to RM13,000.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Performance bonus
  • Yearly bonus
