This role supports the Head Chef in leading kitchen operations, from food preparation and team supervision to maintaining hygiene standards and driving menu innovation.

Responsibilities :

  • Assist in menu planning and development, with a focus on innovative Asian-fusion dishes.
  • Lead the kitchen team in food preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and high quality.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, offering ongoing guidance and feedback.
  • Oversee inventory and ordering, ensuring kitchen efficiency and minimal waste.
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Front of house team on pairing menus and seasonal promotions.
  • Monitor food and labor costs, suggesting cost-effective strategies when needed.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional working environment in the kitchen.

Skills and Qualifications :

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of both Asian and Western fusion cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Proven leadership in training and managing a small kitchen team.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Proficient in kitchen equipment usage and inventory management.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
