Own It:
  • Managing and organizing overall operational activities, emphasizing Pos Malaysia's core business without fail.
  • Managing day-to-day operations at the state level, including pick-up activities, middle mile (PosLaju & Mail Processing), and last mile (delivery of mails & PosLaju items) at the best quality and cost.
  • Planning and taking action on continuous changes related to operations, maintenance of equipment, and building safety to improve service performance.
  • Ensuring all operational branches' acceptance, mail, and Pos Laju branches comply with standard operating procedures/work instructions, company policies, acts, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performing regular/scheduled audits, inspections, and "turun padang" activities to check and observe compliance levels and identify areas for improvement.
  • Managing resources at the state level to ensure adequate resources are available at all times to avoid any operational failures.
  • Preparing and regularly updating pick-up, processing, and delivery capacity to ensure good productivity and cost management.
  • Providing an adequate annual AMP (CAPEX and OPEX) for the needs of all branches.
  • Ensuring operational tools and IT peripherals for accepting, processing, transporting, and delivering mails/Poslaju products are sufficient at the state level.
  • Promoting and executing process improvement within the state to ensure efficient and smooth operations that also produce the highest quality products and services.
  • Identifying operational risks and taking immediate corrective or preventive actions to mitigate those risks.
  • Providing daily feedback and performance reports to management on any matters pertaining to operations and state administration.
  • Communicating effectively at all levels of operations.
  • Providing leadership, guidance, and direction to subordinates to achieve higher work quality and productivity.

  • Ensuring good communication within the team and with other stakeholders.
  • Developing good rapport through consistent engagement and cordial relationships.
  • Representing Pos Malaysia as a liaison officer with the state government.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to subordinates.

  • Ensuring good coordination and teamwork between units/departments.
  • Promoting and executing delivery process improvements within the state to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  • Enjoying working in a fast-moving transformation journey.
  • Being quick to adapt, having a sense of urgency, and acting quickly based on business needs.

  • Being proactive and decisive in any action to meet current operational requirements.

Job Requirements:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in operations management within the courier, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and other relevant technologies.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and safety standards related to courier operations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Strong customer focus and commitment to service excellence.
