About The Opportunity

We are looking for a Field Sales Specialist to be based in Ipoh, Perak who is able to convince the best restaurants in Malaysia to join foodpanda. This role will be reporting to the Lead, Field Sales, in the Commercial department.

Responsibilities

  1. Field Sales Specialist at foodpanda are responsible for driving B2B sales, seeking and securing new partnerships with vendors.
  2. Passionate and should have a keen interest in the food and beverage industry with a desire to sign up the best local and international vendors.
  3. Be the local market expert: You know the best restaurants & shops in Malaysia and always able to provide recommendations.
  4. Gather both restaurant and shop feedback, monitor competitor activity and provide recommendations for improvements to management.
  5. Be the brand ambassador: Conduct cold calls and walk-ins, schedule in-person meetings and sell foodpanda service to potential vendors which include tiptop shops and restaurants in Malaysia.
  6. Exceed sales targets & performance-based goals while working independently.
  7. At the same time, venture to become part of our international network and high-skilled team.
  8. You have the chance to gain an inside perspective of our fast-growing business by being responsible for the business from day one.
  9. Manage a portfolio of vendors which includes restaurant & shop accounts and exceed goals for account retention, development, and maintenance.

What You Need To Be Successful

  1. You have successfully completed a Diploma or Bachelor's degree.
  2. At least 2 years of work experience in consulting, e-commerce, or start-up while fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  3. Strong management skills: manage and motivate your team in the field.
  4. Flexibility, restaurants do not always operate on 9-to-5 schedules.
  5. Outgoing and confident in their appearance.
  6. Self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and under pressure.
  7. You are very proactive and could lead independent projects.
  8. You are an 'out-of-the-box' thinker and want to constantly challenge the status quo.
  9. Background in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/tech environments preferred.
  10. Fluency in English (our corporate language) and great communication skills.
