The position lies within our Equities Stock Lending Operations specialising in Settlements under the Market & Securities Services Operation umbrella. The job holder is responsible to support Clearing & Settlement activities in performing affirming, chasing, amending and escalating until settlement of the trade. We are a global team covering multiple balance sheets for Stock Lending product under the Markets business.

**The Opportunity**:
Continuously provide high quality settlements processing in a timely manner to achieve maximum client satisfaction and matching market requirements. Responsible for relationship building and resolving all inquiries in a professional manner (where applicable).
The role will be working relevant shift hours i.e. HK/UK/Paris with a possibility for staggered work hours. There is no direct report for this role.

**What you’ll do**:

- Ensure trade settlement will be executed by timeliness and provide support in a subset of processing functions including documentation and MI reporting.
- Assist in managing Operational Risk and Control within the process and the business through query handling and escalation.
- Ensure the escalation of all problems/risk issues to the line management, relevant stakeholders and the appropriate levels of management as per escalation matrix, in a timely manner.
- Ensure effective management of risk and controls in line with the Risk Management Control Framework.
- Maintain HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
