Assistant Sales Manager

1. To achieve monthly sales target and to ensure higher profit margin. 2. Quarterly Action Plan. 3. Prospecting and qualifying new corporate/govt members. 4. Conduct initial introductions, presentations and tours of the facility. 5. Maintain customer database and collect statistics on new membership activity and take up rates. 6. Participate in customer service feedback programs distributing and collection surveys and reporting customer feedback. 7. Develop an awareness of competitor pricing and products. 8. Makes recommendations regarding membership campaigns. 9. To entertain potential and regular clients to secure business and maintain rapport. 10. To follow up on any leads and to introduce clients to our various facilities. 11. To coordinate with relevant supporting departments on all pertinent and special arrangements regarding each event. 12. Promote awareness of Hotel and brand image internally and externally. Gather materials and assemble information packages (e.g., brochures, promotional materials). 13. Assisting in implementing the sales strategy as set by the DOS 14. To record the progress of all enquiries and translate into a monthly report, including source of business trends, enquiry conversion rates, future predicted sales and other reports as directed by the DOS. 15. Ensure an efficient tracking system of all event paperwork. 16. Up-keep of a client and agents database - updating where necessary to allow effective promotions. 17. To liaise at all times with all team members and work as a team to reach targets set by DOS. 18. To encourage repeat business by networking with current clients. 19. Follow all company policies and procedures. 20. Ensure personal appearance is clean and professional. 21. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. 22. Answer telephones using appropriate company standards and etiquettes. 23. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other team members. 24. To undertake any other job assignment given by Senior Sales Manager or Director of Sales. Job Requirement and Specification 1. High school graduate. 2. 2 years of experience in a similar or administrative role. 3. Ability to clearly communicate with proper grammar in English / local language with Clients / Visitors and Hotel Associates. 4. Strong follow-up / project management and organizational skills. 5. Understanding of selling techniques and marketing concepts. 6. Well-developed computer skills particularly in the use of MS Office, Excel and Power Point. 7. A good organizer, able to work under pressure and multi-tasking skills. 8. Ability to be a clear thinker who can remain calm in pressure situations. 9. Ability to focus attention on details, be well organized and follow up. 10. Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and designated hotel data. 11. Ability to work with mínimal supervision. 12. Ability to work cohesively with other departments as part of a team.
