**The Role**

This role will require working with multiple key departments in ESL Malaysia, across various teams to drive operational efficiency and success at all levels.

**You will...**
- Work closely and align with the management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and lead the full end-to-end implementation.
- Convert operational information and recommendations into strategic and operational plans while ensuring full alignment with the team and management.
- Conceptualize, analyze and develop solutions that improve current operational systems, processes and practices for overall operational efficiency.
- Prepare, coordinate and lead the full delivery of action/improvement plans and ensure successful implementation while maintaining top customer-service standards.
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives and use available financial data to improve profitability.
- Evaluate policies and procedures with the aim to enhance processes on utilization of equipment, inventory management and shipping.
- Actively and continuously acquire knowledge of end-to-end operations for all key departments within ESL Gaming in the Southeast Asian region.
- Act as Point of Escalation for urgent operational matters related to operations of Tournament Administration, Project Management and other key departments.
- Act as Point of Escalation for issues of various scopes across all key departments.
- Support essential Recruitment and HR efforts across all our key departments in Malaysia.
- Recruit, train, coach and mentor your team members.
- Ability to mentor your team members leading to improved performance and level of engagement.
- Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions.
- Manage strategic relationships with key operation vendors.
- Review and approve operational invoices and ensure they are submitted for payment.
- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
- Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures that comply with legal regulations.

**Additional Requirements...**
- Project delivery requires you to oversee the conception, implementation and analysis of ESL’s branded and client projects, which includes managing resources, staff and financials.
- Provide on-site leadership at ESL’s branded and client events, ensuring event staff adhere to designated roles and responsibilities, in order to achieve project goals.
- Liaise with managing directors and the finance team to ensure ESL global reporting requirements are successfully completed in a timely manner.
- Liaise with clients on a professional level to uphold ESL’s brand and standards.
- Understand and acknowledge you, your comments and statements in public forums represent the company whether via personal accounts or otherwise.
- Be held accountable for comments, statements or actions made in the public domain that may have harmful effects on the company, its ethos, culture and values.
- And any other duties and responsibilities assigned or delegated to you from time to time which are within your skills, qualifications and competencies.

- Proven work experience as Operations Manager or similar role (ideally within the esports or gaming industry.)
- Self-motivated to perform and exceed expectations
- Deep Passion in esports and/or gaming (Not necessary, but would be preferable.)
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Experience in budgeting and forecasting
