As the HR Assistant Manager, you will be the pioneer HR for one of our insurtech subsidiaries that provides technology solutions to Insurers, Reinsurer and Brokers. You will be required to have a strong hands-on approach in everything you do. You will be engaging in operational HR activities such as employee onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations. You will play an active role in developing and implementing HR policies, supporting performance management processes, participating in recruitment activities, and analyzing HR data.

What you will do
- Employee Onboarding and Orientation: Facilitating the onboarding process for new hires is an important aspect of the role. You would coordinate orientation programs to familiarise new employees with the company culture, policies, and technical tools they will be using. This may also include providing access to necessary systems and resources.
- Training and Development: You would oversee the employee development programs to enhance employees' skills. This may involve identifying training needs, coordinating workshops or online courses, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure employees have access to relevant resources and learning opportunities.
- Performance Management and Appraisal: You would work with managers and teams to establish performance goals and metrics (OKRs) for employees. Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and assisting in creating development plans to improve performance are typical responsibilities. You may also be involved in assessing technical competencies and skill gaps within the organisation.
- Compensation and Benefits: Collaborating with the finance department, you would design and manage compensation and benefits packages tailored to specific roles. This includes conducting market research to ensure competitive salary structures, managing performance-based incentives, and administering technology-specific benefits such as certifications or training reimbursements.
- Employee Engagement and Retention: Promoting a positive work culture, fostering employee engagement, and implementing retention strategies are vital responsibilities. This may involve organising focused initiatives, such as hackathons, innovation challenges, or company outings.
- HR Policies and Compliance: Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures specific to the company compliance requirements. This includes addressing topics like intellectual property protection, data privacy, IT security protocols, and remote work policies. Ensuring compliance with relevant labour laws, industry regulations, and cybersecurity standards is essential. You will also be in charge of keeping a registry of all employees with their role, their access to various systems or tools as well as assets shared.
- Employer Branding and External Relations: You may play a role in enhancing the organisation's reputation as an employer of choice in the technology sector. This involves participating in industry events, engaging with tech communities, and leveraging digital platforms to promote the company's employer brand. Building relationships with external partners, such as universities or professional associations, to attract and retain technology talent could also be part of your responsibilities.
- HR Analytics and Reporting: Utilising HR technology and data analytics, you would generate reports and analyse HR metrics. This includes analysing attrition rates, identifying trends, and providing insights to support data-driven decision-making in areas like talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention.

**; Requirements**: - What you will need
- Possesses at least a Bachelor in HRM, Business Administration, Business Management, Psychology or equivalent.
- Ideally 5-8 years of experience in full HR spectrum (experience in shared service environment is advantageous).
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Good relationship development skills with the ability to manage multiple key stakeholders across a varied line of business.
- Sound judgement, evidence and knowledge to arrive at accurate, expert and professional decisions.
