About the Role

The Malaysia Sales Team is seeking a highly motivated Sr Account Executive to drive sales of SAS software products, solutions, and services in the region.

Responsibilities include:

  • Selling software, solutions, and services to existing and prospective customers, leveraging collaboration with other sales/pre-sales/domain personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities.
  • Fulfilling diverse requests for information from prospective customers, qualifying opportunity level and resources required.
  • Implementing territory and account management strategies to identify high-potential accounts, qualify, and advance opportunities through milestone steps of the sales cycle and forecast closure within Orion.
  • Preparing quotations and proposal information as needed, working with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set delivery schedules.
  • Monitoring customer satisfaction levels and discovering additional revenue opportunities.
  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of company pricing, licensing procedures, and approvals matrix.
  • Fully utilizing account planning processes and tools (Account Plans and Opportunity Plans within BASE).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a relevant sales role.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of strategic sales techniques, industry software and hardware terminology, and concepts; familiarity with SAS solutions and services is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strategic selling abilities, and analytical skills to develop and implement a sales plan.
  • Ability to initiate and lead projects, work effectively in a team environment, relate technical and business concepts to SAS applications and user needs, and travel frequently.
