Responsibilities:
  • Meet and exceed sales targets set by the company for assigned products and territories.
  • Track and analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to drive product availability and visibility in the market.
  • Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail customers (supermarkets, wholesalers, convenience stores, etc.).
  • Act as a liaison between the company and customers, addressing any issues and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates to clients regarding new products, promotions, and company news.
  • Product Promotion & Visibility:
  • Ensure products are well displayed in retail outlets (shelving, point-of-sale materials, etc.).
  • Conduct promotional activities, demonstrations, or sampling to encourage consumer trials and purchases.
  • Coordinate in-store promotions, campaigns, and special events to increase product visibility.
  • Market Research & Competitor Analysis:
  • Monitor competitors' activities and provide feedback on product offerings, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Gather market intelligence to assess consumer demand, trends, and preferences.
  • Analyze sales performance to identify patterns and propose actions for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and feedback.
  • Submit regular sales reports and forecasts to the sales manager or regional head.
  • Utilize CRM tools and sales management software to track performance and manage customer relationships.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure products are available at retail locations, placing orders with wholesalers or distributors as needed.
  • Work with the distribution team to ensure timely delivery and minimize stock-outs.
  • Training & Support:
  • Provide training or assistance to retail staff on product features, benefits, and promotions.
  • Support the company's marketing team in executing national or regional campaigns effectively.
  • Work closely with other sales team members, marketing, and logistics departments to ensure alignment of strategies and objectives.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute ideas to improve sales efforts.
Job RequirementsSkills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG or retail environments.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to interact effectively with clients, customers, and internal teams.
  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate terms, close sales, and build lasting partnerships.
  • Time Management: Effective time management skills to balance multiple clients and tasks.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve customer issues and overcome obstacles to meet sales goals.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with sales management tools (e.g., CRM systems), MS Office, and possibly advanced analytics software.
  • Driving License: A valid driver's license may be required, especially for field-based roles where travel is needed.
