Channel Sales Manager

**The BIG Picture** - The Business Development Department is a dynamic and fast-moving Department that holds the responsibility of growing the Company’s Revenue through existing and new product offerings sold through new and existing sales channels.
As a Channel Sales Manager you will create and establish long lasting relationships and drive sales with New Clients and Partners, to deliver revenue impact to the business. Your responsibilities will include self-generation of leads, managing the full sales process, such as consultation, proposal/tender preparation and contract negotiation, with great communication skills and excellent problem-solving skills.
**Overall Tasks/Objectives**:
- Identify and analyze market opportunities to drive sales growth.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product Teams to develop effective channel strategies for seamless execution.
- Engage in product footprint expansion, upselling and cross-selling.
- Maintaining industry and product knowledge to provide Clients with insight and expertise.
- Analyze, identify and develop sales strategies and manage toward achieving sales closures monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Implement sales strategies to increase market share and distribution, in line with the set objectives.
- Prospecting/self-generation of leads penetrating multiple industries and target markets.
- Research and administration to ensure there is always an active and relevant sales pipeline.
- Build and cultivate strong, mutually beneficial relationships and partnerships with Clients, including regular communication, close collaboration, while also providing support and resources, and managing Client escalation resolutions with a satisfactory outcome.
- Analyze sales data and track performance metrics by identifying trends, optimizing sales potential levels, and reporting the effectiveness.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to drive informed decision-making.
- Other ad-hoc duties may be assigned.
**Required Education, Competencies and Characteristics**:
- Minimum 6 years of B2B sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business development experience OR a minimum Bachelor Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Business Administration or related field, with minimum 5 years of sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business development experience.
- Proven track record of selling an existing service to a new market.
- Experience in selling to Risk Management, HR or Compliance Departments, with an extensive personal network, is an added advantage.
- Able to effectively manage and participate in Client RFP/Tenders, closing complex accounts that have long sales cycles.
- Well versed in business analytics to track and manage leads and pipelines.
- Demonstrate strong understanding of company products/services.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and analytical skills, as well as exceptional written and oral communication.
