HR & Admin Manager - [based in Papua New Guinea]

**This position is a full-time position and it is for Malaysians and Expats and you will be based in the country, Papua New Guinea. **You will be reporting to the General Manager - Admin & Marketing. For new employment, the company(our client) will offer a 3 years contract. Before the expiration of each term, we will discuss with the staff regarding the option to convert to permanent employment. This process will align with the renewal of work permit every 3 years in accordance with Papua New Guinea(PNG) work permit regulations.

**Role & Responsibilities**:
You will play an important role, such as
- Identify legal requirements and governmental reporting regulation affecting human resource functions and ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance;
- Assist the HQ in preparing and finalizing the Job Descriptions and Key Performance index;
- Working closely with various divisions, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
- Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and safety;
- Planning and sometimes delivering training; analyzing training needs in conjunction with the line divisional managers;
- Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations and governmental administration requirements issues; respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programmes;
- Administer salary administration programme to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the Company; advising on pay and remuneration issues; administer benefits programmes such as term life, health and personal accident insurance, leave passage, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance;
- Developing and implementing policies on issues like working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management;
- Negotiating with staff and their representatives (for example trade union officials) on issues relating to employment and conditions; represent the Company at personnel-related hearings and investigation;
- Recruit, interview, test and select employees to fill vacant positions;
- Ensure the department’s good and systematic filling systems and records;
- Investigate accidents, review and comment on reports; and prepare report to insurance company;
- Overseeing arrangement of permit for foreign employees;
- Prepare budget of human resources and administration operations;
- Overseeing the preparation of employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine compliance to the Company policy;.
- Overseeing the overall divisional compliances to the Company policy, procedures and administration system, and legislations.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- At least 8 year(s) of working experience in relevant field/environment for this position;
- Good knowledge of Human Resource and Administration;
- Consultative/Influence/Good Presentation skills;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Good human resource management skills;
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, integrity, self-motivated with high degree of commitment and time pressure to meet deadlines and objectives;
- Ability to work independently under mínimal supervision.

**General Requirements**
- Proficient in both Verbal & written communication ability; both in English and Bahasa language.
- Age between 35-50 years old

- Transportation such as motorbikes and cars,etc are provided when needed to travel around the palm oil plantations and to other work sites.
- The position is entitled for 2 trips per full year of service. The Company will arrange the ticket.

**Security Provided**

Port Moresby is located far from our project area. We have both our in-house security team and outsourced security contractors safeguarding the project area. All of each compound are secured by metal fencing and gates, manned by security guards. Main compound is equipped with CCTV surveillance and emergency alarm system.

**Work Arrangements/schedule**

8.00 am - 5.00 pm ( every Monday - Friday ) and 8.00 am - 12.00 pm - (every Saturday) Note: The actual working hours shall base on the operations needs in which will be brief by his/her HOD as there may be occasions where on-the-ground tasks require extended hours. Additionally, as this position is at the management level overseeing several managerial roles, it is essential to ensure smooth operations and efficient handling of on-the-ground tasks.
