**Job Title**: Manager, Learning and Development
**Department**: Human Resources or Academic Affairs
**Reports To**: Chief Human Resources Officer
**Job Summary**:The Manager of Learning and Development at the university is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive learning programs to enhance the professional development and skill acquisition of faculty and staff. This role involves collaborating with various departments to identify training needs, developing curriculum, and fostering a culture of continuous learning to support the university's mission and strategic objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Needs Assessment**:Conduct regular needs assessments to identify gaps in skills, knowledge, and competencies among faculty and staff.
Collaborate with department heads and leadership to understand organizational goals and align learning initiatives accordingly.
**Curriculum Development**:Design, develop, and implement learning programs and curriculum that address identified needs.
Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and modalities, including e-learning, workshops, seminars, and coaching.
**Professional Development**:Coordinate and facilitate professional development sessions for faculty and staff.
**Training Delivery**:Oversee the delivery of training programs, ensuring they are engaging, effective, and aligned with adult learning principles.
Utilize technology and e-learning platforms to facilitate remote and in-person training.
**Learning Technology**:Stay abreast of learning technologies and tools to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of training programs.
Collaborate with IT and instructional designers to integrate technology into learning initiatives.
**Evaluation and Feedback**:Implement processes for evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs.
Collect and analyze feedback to continuously improve and tailor programs to meet evolving needs.
**Collaboration**:Collaborate with HR, academic affairs, and other departments to ensure alignment between learning and development initiatives and organizational goals.
Partner with external organizations and industry experts to bring relevant expertise to the university.
**Compliance Training**:Ensure faculty and staff are compliant with mandatory training requirements, including diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Monitor regulatory changes and update training materials as needed.
**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
Proven experience in learning and development, preferably in a higher education setting.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to training and development.
Pay: RM2,497.26 - RM8,643.37 per month
