About the Role

The incumbent for this role will be working closely with Head of Department to:

- Drive curation and identification of appropriate learning programmes including crafting and developing learning pathways by job roles and different levels, identifying appropriate learning interventions and sourcing for vendors.
- Partake in day-to-day learning management and operations including managing of learning center, third party vendor, HRD Corp, regulatory bodies and budget (preparation and tracking, including payments).
- Drive effective talent and succession management process to ensure sufficient bench-strength and leaders’ pool, and
- Ensure sustainable leadership development and solutions either localized programme and/or managing the process for Group Office’s driven programme in support of the organizational needs.

The role will work closely and in partnership with the Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP), Centre of Excellence (COE) and Group Office Representatives, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and the Executive Committees (EXCO) members.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Learning- Create and execute learning strategies and program, including curation and development of role-based pathways addressing the required job competencies (current and future).- Evaluate individual and organizational development needs by conducting learning needs analysis and future of work skills mapping, to ensure the gaps are addressed whilst preparing the organization for the future challenges.- Implement various learning methods companywide e.g., coaching, job-shadowing, online training in addressing the organization learning needs.- Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities- Help managers develop their team members through career pathing and work with HRBP in ensuring that the learning request are closed and delivered.- Track budgets and negotiate contracts with vendors, outsourcers and relevant parties; with 100% adherence and compliance to the process stipulated by relevant internal parties.- Assess and report ROI on learning; and continuously identify area of improvements in ensuring that the interventions met its requirement / expected ROI.

Leadership Development- Review and match possible development interventions for the identified Talent, Successor, or targeted employee against the gap to future role, enrichment of current role and/or potential new skillset to support the organization.- Assess, recommend, create, and implement leadership development processes, tools, resources, and solutions and/or organization development interventions based on strategic or tactical business plans- Establish, execute, and monitor the rollout of leadership development programs as required.Talent and Succession Management- Executive and evaluate organizational development activities which include, but not limited to, analyses and design programmes to close the organization’s health and performance gaps, manage the OPR (talent and succession planning), expat knowledge transfer and senior leadership development- Be a strategic business partner on talent and organizational development matters by regular meeting with relevant parties to understand the business outcomes essential for their success.- Execute the talent and organizational development programmes against the organization’s business plan and the needs of internal customers.- Work with vendor to assess leadership capabilities through activities such as talent assessment for hiring (where required) and development purposes.

Others- Be the primary administrator on Workday system (non-technical related) e.g., in executing the process, reporting, and performing testing related to system update, and be the representative for AIA Malaysia to participate in forums and activities organized by Group Office.- Be responsible to perform the verifier and reviewer role for learning related transactions.

Minimum Job Requirements:
- Education: Basic Degree - preferably an MBA or Masters in Management.- Experience: At least 8 years of work experience in Learning & Development with at least 3 years heading functional units. Experience in an Agile and Digital-fluent environment is an added advantage.- Special Skills: Ability to influence at senior levels with strong stakeholder management skills.
