The teams are always looking to acquire business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the No. 1 e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.
- Lead a team of sales professionals and lead generation to map, reach out to and onboard sellers onto both marketplace and Shopee Mall.
- Analyse sales agents’ progress, activities, performance and category initiatives to drive acquisition numbers and meet targets.
- Support sales team on any inquiries, issues, and escalations from various stakeholders. Close the loop on potential acquisitions and serve as the sales team’s L2 in driving forward the conversions.
- Maintain dashboards tracking acquisition progress across all acquisition exercises and report to upper management on project progress.
- Act as the main point of contact for management and regional partnerships for all verticals requiring acquisition support.
- Work closely with internal teams (eg: business intelligence, business development-cluster/category, BD PMO) to ensure acquisitions are strategically aligned with the company's direction.
- Provide market insights from the seller perspective, including understanding products, sellers, market & competitor dynamics.

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in any field; experience in the e-commerce industry and business development will be an added advantage.
- Comes with leadership and related commercial experience
- Strong analytical skills (strong experience with Excel analysis necessary)
- Innovative problem-solving skills; able to dissect and identify problems and implement solutions accordingly
- Excellent team player with an aptitude for sales, and a drive to always deliver on KPIs
- Excellent command of English, the ability to converse fluently in other languages will be an added advantage (eg: Bahasa Melayu, Mandarin) to communicate with various stakeholders
- Ability to travel (at least within Klang Valley) where required
