We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to oversee and drive the performance of multiple optical retail outlets. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in retail sales, and the ability to foster positive customer experiences. You will also mentor branch managers and work closely with them to ensure operational excellence and consistency across all locations.

There are two openings for this position responsible for managing Focus Point branches in Central Region (KL and Selangor) and East Coast Region (Pahang, Terengganu, and Kelantan).

You'll make a difference by:

  • Coordinating between HQ & FP Branches, managing and following up on departmental correspondence.
  • Performing daily branch visits to ensure smooth operations and drive sales performance to hit sales targets.
  • Resolving manpower issues related to branches, including staff recruitment and staffing-related challenges.
  • Assisting with new branch openings, branch upgrades, branch closures, and roadshow activities.
  • Preparing reports and ensuring submission before deadlines.
  • Attending meetings, trainings, and discussions required by management.
  • Conducting training/briefing and ensuring compliance with company SOP.
  • Carrying out responsibilities assigned by superiors from time to time.

Your success is grounded in:

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales management, retail operations, and good knowledge of the optical industry is an added advantage.
  • Optometrist, Optician, or bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of related professional experiences and education.
  • Ability to communicate well in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin and other local dialects are an added advantage.
  • Ability to travel for work with own transport.
  • Self-motivated, dynamic, result-oriented individual and a team player who can work under pressure.
