We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Secretary to join our team at Maybank. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Head, Corporate Secretarial and ensuring the smooth operation of corporate secretarial duties.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Meeting Coordination:** Ensure that all meeting-related matters are effectively attended to, including preparation of meeting materials, coordination of logistics, and follow-up on action items.
- **Corporate Secretarial Support:** Provide administrative support to the Head, Corporate Secretarial, including responding to queries, preparing documents, and maintaining records.
- **Compliance and Governance:** Ensure that all corporate secretarial matters are handled in accordance with relevant regulations and laws, and that high standards of corporate governance are practiced in the organization.
- **Communication and Liaison:** Respond to requests and queries from internal and external parties, including regulatory bodies and authorities, and provide expert advice on corporate governance matters.
- **Event Planning:** Assist in preparing, conducting, and completing secretarial events, including meetings, conferences, and other corporate functions.
**Requirements:**
- **Education:** Minimum Degree/Masters in Law, ICSA, or its equivalent; Licensed Company Secretary.
- **Experience:** Experience in legal matters would be an added advantage for this role.
- **Skills:** High level of knowledge and skills in corporate secretarial matters, good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to interact with various levels of people, and express him/herself clearly in both verbal and written communication.
- **Personal Qualities:** Independent, proactive, analytical, and resourceful in carrying out the job responsibilities, ability to coach and develop team members at all levels, strong problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, and able to understand multiple perspectives.
